	BASIL (Basilico) genovese   "Basil from Genoa" is well known for its classic association with tomatoes and its use for pesto, but it also can be added to soups and other vegetable dishes. It is a vigorous plant with medium-large, brilliant green, intensely aromatic and strongly flavoured leaves and small white flowers. Can be blitzed with olive oil and frozen for later use. 	BROCCOLI Cavolo Broccolo)ramoso calabrese Sprouting broccoli from Calabria" is tender  with fine taste and produces abundant side  shoots. Compact, medium-sized head. Sow in seed boxes and transplant or direct sow from summer through to spring. 60-80 days to pick.		Price:	QTY:

	CARROT (Carota) nantese di Chioggia This is a medium-early carrot with a cylindrical reddish-orange, medium-sized root. It has a small core, and has an excellent crisp texture. Packet contains 6g seed for about 3,500 seeds. Non-organic seed also available		Price:	QTY:

	CHARD (Bietola) verde a costa bianca NOTE: This variety is being phased out but continues to be available in the conventional seed range.   "Green, white ribbed chard" is very different to “verde di taglio” in that the stems are broad and white and contrast with the intense green of the leaf, making this vegetable a "two in one". The leaves can substitute for spinach in cooked dishes, while the stems can be boiled before being braised in butter or olive oil or served gratinati. Packet contains 8g seed (about 400 seeds). 	CHARD (Bietola) verde da taglio "Green cutting chard" is a vigorous, highly productive, bright green variety with narrow stems and, in Australia, is commonly sold as a spinach variety, for which it is a good summer substitute. Use it as for spinach in cooked dishes such as stuffing for pasta, soups, frittate or braised in olive oil. Packet contains 8g seed (about 400 seeds). Non-organic seed also available.		Price:	QTY:

	CHICORY (Chicoria) zuccherina di Trieste “Small, sweet from Trieste”. A cutting chicory with rounded, upright, light green leaves with almost no ribbing and very thin stems. Mild tasting and fast growing.(40 days). Will regrow after cutting. Broadcast sow at any time		Price:	QTY:

	CHICORY (Cicoria) pan di zuccero NOTE: This variety is being phased out but continues to be available in the conventional seed range. "Sugarloaf" is an upright, heading chicory, with some similarities in habit to a romain lettuce and is popular throughout Italy. It is easy to grow and heads up well in cooler times of the year. 	CHICORY Cicoria) grumolo verde NOTE: This variety is being phased out but continues to be available in the conventional seed range.   Dark green grumolo type whose initial growth is an elongated head with large rounded leaves. After cutting, leave the root in the ground, in spring you will get a rosette of rounded leaves that are excellent for fancy salads. Plant direct spring to autumn. Harvest the primary head in autumn/winter and the “grumolo” in the next spring. 7g packet for about 2,000 seeds.		Price:	QTY:

	RADICCHIO (Cicoria) rossa di Verona NOTE: This variety is being phased out but continues to be available in the conventional seed range. This striking radicchio from Verona has deep red leaves contrasting with thick white stems in a very nice head.
