"Basil from Genoa" is well known for its classic association with tomatoes and its use for pesto, but it also can be added to soups and other vegetable dishes. It is a vigorous plant with medium-large, brilliant green, intensely aromatic and strongly flavoured leaves and small white flowers. Can be blitzed with olive oil and frozen for later use. Packet contains 4g for about 1,400 seeds. Non-organic seed is also available.

"Green, white ribbed chard" is very different to “verde di taglio” in that the stems are broad and white and contrast with the intense green of the leaf, making this vegetable a "two in one". The leaves can substitute for spinach in cooked dishes, while the stems can be boiled before being braised in butter or olive oil or served gratinati. Packet contains 8g seed (about 400 seeds). "Green cutting chard" is a vigorous, highly productive, bright green variety with narrow stems and, in Australia, is commonly sold as a spinach variety, for which it is a good summer substitute. Use it as for spinach in cooked dishes such as stuffing for pasta, soups, frittate or braised in olive oil. Packet contains 8g seed (about 400 seeds). Non-organic seed also available.

Dark green grumolo type whose initial growth is an elongated head with large rounded leaves. After cutting, leave the root in the ground, in spring you will get a rosette of rounded leaves that are excellent for fancy salads. Plant direct spring to autumn. Harvest the primary head in autumn/winter and the “grumolo” in the next spring. 7g packet for about 2,000 seeds.
