"May queen" is an attractive and very tasty butterhead lettuce with a soft texture. This large lettuce is predominantly green with the edges of leaves tinged with red, and does best in cooler weather as it has low resistance to bolting. Packet contains 5g for about 2,000 seeds. "Ice queen" is is an excellent "iceberg" type of lettuce with crisp leaves and an fine taste. It has a high resistance to bolting and is ready to pick about 70 days from planting. This striking radicchio from Verona has deep red leaves contrasting with thick white stems in a very nice head.
