	“Variegated radicchio from Castelfranco”, north of Treviso is a beautiful, variegated, red and pale green, lettuce-like vegetable, with a mild flavour and crisp texture. It is ideally suited to use in salads. See “Antonio Carluccio's Vegetables", page 256 for a recipe. Packet contains 9g for about 3,000 seeds.   Sow in a seed box and plant out or direct sow in autumn for full size plants, but can be planted anytime for picking young. Thin to 10cm.
